OLRS comments on proposed Pre-admission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR) rules

The Ohio Legal Rights Service (OLRS) recently submitted comments on draft proposed Pre-admission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR) rules. OLRS stated in its comments to the three agencies responsible for the implementation of PASRR that the rules should be carefully monitored so that procedural hurdles do not unreasonably limit the individual's ability to secure the right to community integration. Furthermore, the rules must limit the number of people inappropriately receiving services in nursing facilities, provide multiple opportunities for individuals to understand their community-based options, and establish accountability within the procedural framework.
