Accessibility Statement (this page)
OLRS complies with State of Ohio IT Policy - Web Site Accessibility, ITP-F.3 (PDF file), issued by the Ohio Office of Information Technology. This policy establishes minimum Web site accessibility requirements for information and services provided on state-controlled Web sites. The requirements include compliance with the accessibility standards of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. These standards are detailed in Section 1994.22 of the Code of Federal Regulations (Web-based intranet and internet information and applications).
OLRS also follows the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 which are standards created by the World Wide Web Consortium's Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI). WCAG 2.0 compliance levels are described as Level A, Level AA, or Level AAA. The OLRS Web site conforms to all Success Criteria of Level A, and many of the Success Criteria for Level AA and Level AAA. The technologies that the site's content relies upon are: HTML 4.0 Transitional, XHTML 1.0 Transitional, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), and Portable Document Format (PDF). (WCAG conformance statement initially made July 2004; revised January 2009)
OLRS continually assesses the pages of the OLRS Web site for usability and accessibility. A text-only version of the Web site is simultaneously updated with the graphic version of the Web site. Whenever possible, PDF documents are provided in an HTML format.
OLRS welcomes your comments about the usability and accessibility of its Web site. If you are having a problem accessing any part of the OLRS Web site, or would like to send us your comments or suggestions, please contact OLRS.
