> Governor signs name change bill
Governor Strickland signed SB 79, removing the words "mental retardation" from the titles of Ohio agencies, boards, commissions, and other entities. With the signing of S.B. 79, sponsored by Senator Jimmy Stewart, Ohio now has the Department of Developmental Disabilities. Several county boards had already made this change, and others will now change to county boards of developmental disabilities.
