Privacy Policy

The OLRS Web site resides on the server of the State of Ohio (Ohio Server). The Ohio Server collects pieces of information to generate statistical analyses about how visitors use the OLRS Web site and about ways the OLRS can improve the Web site for the benefit of all visitors. The pieces of information include numbers and times of visits, pages viewed, paths followed through the Web site, files downloaded, the Internet protocol (IP) address of your computer, and addresses of Web sites from which visitors linked to the OLRS Web site.

The Ohio Server collects only generic information and does not collect personal identifiers such as name, address, telephone number, or e-mail address. The Ohio Server does not use "cookies" to track your visit on the OLRS Web site. Information about a case that is received by OLRS as a request for OLRS advocacy is confidential as between attorney and client. Be aware, though, that Ohio law and the Public Records Act may require the OLRS to share information if it is a record of the agency's activities, it is not confidential as a client record, and a copy is requested.
